Reasons to be cheerful:

Ronaldo will win the Euros for Portugal singlehandedly. The other ten players are mere eye candy.
- The Portuguese have a mild obsession with sand, as displayed in such idioms as "É muita areia para a minha camioneta", which translates as: "This is too much sand for my truck", to mean 'this is too much for me to handle'. And "Não me lixes!" - "Don't sand me!", or 'don't do me any harm'.
- I once went on holiday to Turkey and won a prize in a raffle
