REACH FOR THE SKY...
SUNDAY 10th AUGUST 2008
Did anybody else, like me, catch Sky Sports' 'Goals on Sunday' programme and think for a split second they'd tuned into an obscure chat show on community citizenship and social differentiation?
Sure, Sam Allardyce and Peter Reid may have been banging on about the new football season, but in the background someone appears to have plastered up a few pictures of Moss Side, complete with high-rise council blocks, decaying factories and, if you look closely enough, a burnt out mattress.

Either the vodka hasn't worn off properly, or Sky are going a bit gritty in time for the new season.

I can only imagine what other surprises they've got hidden up their sleeves... Jamie Redknapp getting mud caked around his brogues as he prances around Hackney Marshes in the middle of January, a kilted Andy Gray on-location in a rough Rotherhithe pub ahead of a Millwall game, or maybe Richard Keys interviewing Ryan Giggs over the politics of excessive chest hair?
