THERE BUT FOR THE GRACE OF POD...
MONDAY 19th NOVEMBER 2007

As we hope you’ve sussed out by now, Open Goal is on a mission to put the funny back into football and last Friday we got to sit on a recording of Britain’s funniest football podcast, as hosted by lion geniuses Danny Baker and Danny Kelly.

It’s also the most popular football podcast in the country and as we’ll soon be Britain’s highest-circulation footy magazine, it seemed like a good idea for us to hang out with the Dannys for a while.

As well as making a tiny but significant contribution to the show, Andy, our deputy ed, shamelessly took the opportunity to whore both himself and the magazine by coercing Baker and Kelly into having their picture taken with him in his Open Goal T-shirt.

But as you can see, the boys are clearly fans of ours – nothing staged or faked about this partcular photograph…

You can hear the current podcast by navigating your way to Baker & Kelly's website and there’ll be a full interview with the undisputed kings of football broadcasting in Open Goal’s launch issue in January.
