NOSEY PARKER IN CALENDAR CATASTROPHE...
SATURDAY 7th JUNE 2008

Paul Parker is showing an adverse reaction to the excitement of the European Championships opening ceremony later today.

Either that or the former Manchester United and England defender has been hibernating in a small burrow somewhere.

Speaking of Leicester City's possible approach for his old buddy Paul Ince, he scowled:

"I'm surprised it has taken this long through the summer for someone to show an interest."

Excuse me? It's June 7th isn't it? We haven't even had Wimbledon yet - more's the pity.

Everyone's favourite murder mystery novelist was hardly the best man to give team talks on dedication and loyalty after landing his fifth managerial role in three years when he rocked up at Birmingham City in 2001. And his departure from Brum hardly left the locals toasting the Brown Ale.

Mind you, that might have had more to do with the fact he didn't take Liam Ridgewell with him...
