NEW SEASON COMES KNOCKING...
SUNDAY 27th JULY 2008
Your resident diarist is hungover and feeling rough today, so rather than mumble through a load of incoherent and pretty mindnumbing nonsense that will be as painful for you to read as it is for me to write, I will leave you solely with the following thought: where has the summer gone?

Last time I checked it was May. I waved goodbye to Richard Keys and Andy Gray gratefully - they had served me well over the course of the season, but man, was I fed up of football? Oh aye.

The Euros came and went without too much regard, and in recent weeks I've ventured into excessive cricket watching and even a bit of Le Tour.




But despite all of that, can it really be only two weeks until it all kicks off again? Who's idea was this? I'm woefully under-prepared. I'm still watching Masters Football on Sky and doing the Australian football pools for pity's sake ...
